Code of ethics
The work of BARCELONA ACTIVA is based on values and principles that underpin its corporate culture and are the benchmark for expected behaviour in operations and relations with third parties. These values and principles take part of our corporate identity and form the basis of a culture of resilience prepared to face challenges with integrity and excellence.
This Code of Ethics is intended to be the basic rule that enshrines the ethical principles and values of the organisation, for the purpose of declaring and disseminating among workers and collaborators the organisation's commitment to comply with the law and ethical standards. It aims to highlight the moral aspirations of the organisation and to serve as a reference guide on the behaviour expected by all members or members of Barcelona Activa.
The VISION of Barcelona Activa is to make the city an international benchmark for employment, entrepreneurship and living with social and environmental values.

Ethical principles
The ETHICAL PRINCIPLES that Barcelona Activa employees must always respect when undertaking their duties are:
Lawfulness
Ensuring compliance with current legal frameworks.
Equality
Ensuring equal treatment of all staff and all individuals and collaborating companies, avoiding any type of discrimination.
Impartiality
Acting legitimately and adopting impartial decisions, without these being subject to conflicts of interest, and always in the public interest.
Objectivity
Taking into consideration all relevant factors and properly deliberating over them across all activities.
Integrity
Acting in accordance with the principles, values and standards of business set out in this code and always ensuring good faith.
Transparency
Transparently performing activities in compliance with legislation for this purpose.
Scope of aplication
The SCOPE OF APPLICATION of this Code of Ethics applies to all individuals, members or associates at Barcelona Activa, without exception. In this sense, all staff members, whatever their position, are subject to this Code of Ethics.
In the same vein, the Code of Ethics is applicable to relationships Barcelona Activa has with any third party, such as suppliers, clients and any other with whom it has commercial or collaborative relationships.
The effects of this code extend to all activities and operations undertaken by Barcelona Activa, regardless of geographic area.
BARCELONA ACTIVA has enabled an ETHICAL CHANNEL where circumstances that may involve a criminal risk can be reported in good faith and based on reasonable proof, as well as any failure to comply with or detected weakness in the Compliance Management System, in addition to any query that may arise in this regard.
