Barcelona City Council extends the B·Crèdits line of funding

The Council, through Barcelona Activa, has extended the line of credit to facilitate access for micro-enterprises and self-employed workers

Barcelona, 01 Feb 2022

The funding programme B·Credit extends the service aimed at micro-enterprises and self-employed workers who need liquidity due to the Covid-19 crisis. Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, together with the Institut Català de Finances (ICF) and Avalis de Catalunya, have decided to renew the line of funding.

B·Credit, a programme launched at the end of 2020, has allocated 10.5 million Euros to support the local economy. Specifically, during 2020, 245 companies received a total of 3.1 million Euros in funding, while in 2021 594 micro-SMEs were financially supported for a total value of 7.4 million Euros.

The aim of the economic concession focuses on offering liquidity to companies and self-employed people, which represent around 1,400 jobs. In addition, with the extension of programmes such as B·Credit, the reactivation of the city's economic activity is fostered, as well as boosting employment and the support for entrepreneurship, talent and the business sector.

The loans amount to12,500 Euros and can be formalised until the end of March 2022. If you need more information about the conditions of the programme, you can consult this link
