New FP Companies Office to promote the incorporation talent from dual vocational training

A new service from Barcelona Activa in collaboration with the Barcelona Education Consortium to connect companies and Dual Vocational Training students

Barcelona, 19 Sep 2025

Barcelona continues its commitment towards talent and innovation with the launch of the Vocational Training Companies Office, a benchmark space that aims to bring the business world closer to the educational centre of dual vocational training. The initiative, promoted by Barcelona Activa in collaboration with the Education Consortium of Barcelona, responds to the real needs of the productive fabric of the city and its metropolitan area.

The Vocational Training Companies Office offers organisations a single point of information and advice for the incorporation of FP Dual students into work teams. The service allows you to learn first-hand about the training specialties and choose the most appropriate modality according to the needs of each company. The offer covers eleven key sectors for the Barcelona economy: agri-food, manufacturing, chemicals, metal and mobility, construction, health, leisure and well-being, energy and sustainability, digital transformation, business services and artistic creation.

Once the request from the interested company is received, the Consortium connects it with the educational centres to formalise agreements and begin collaboration with the students in an agile and effective manner. At the same time, the office offers comprehensive support throughout the process, from training and advice to talent recruitment and the promotion of corporate social responsibility.

Regarding training in companies, Dual Vocational Training can be carried out in two modalities. The first is the general modality, of 515 hours, with a partial dedication of the students and without obligation of remuneration. The second is the intensive modality, of 1,000 hours, linked to a scholarship to a contract with a minimum remuneration, according to the level of studies and proportional to the working time. In both cases, the people in training have the support of a company tutor, who guarantees practical learning and their integration into the teams
