Harbour Space University and Barcelona Activa join forces to offer technology webinars

Harbour Space University and Barcelona Activa have joined forces to offer a series of completely free webinars in English. The webinars will offer valuable technological content, which is hard to find in traditional classrooms.

Harbour Space University teaches technology and design from its campuses in Barcelona and Bangkok. It hosts various progressive university programmes for students, professionals, and executives. The courses are offered in the form of immersive 3-week modules taught by industry and advanced training experts from all over the world, leaders in the field of computing and technological design. They began on the 14th of May and will continue through to the 18th of June 2020.

The main topics taught are mathematics, computer science, cybersecurity, data science, smart cities, fintech, interactive design, high-tech entrepreneurship, digital marketing, aerospace engineering, biotechnology, and sports technology.

Some of the key speakers delivering the webinars include Andy Crestodina, CEO-Founder & CMO of Orbit Media Studios, Jessica Best, VP Data-Driven Marketing of Barkley, Sergey Gordeychik, CIO of the Inception Institute of Artificial Intelligence, Ricardo Mendieta, Head of digital for Harbour Space, Bianca Praetorius, Start-up Pich & Speaker, and Hannes Chopra, CEO of RaSa Future Fund & Partner of Bossert Associates.

The Cibernàrium plays a vital role in Barcelona Activa’s efforts to respond to the digital challenges of the future by offering a high standard of accessible technical training to Barcelona’s citizens. Its IT academy trains people to fill the most in-demand positions while, at the same time, the Antenes Cibernàrium help to disseminate new technologies.

In November 2019, the Cibernàrium celebrated 20 years of technology training with more than 52,000 training sessions, over 700,000 participations and more than 175,000 hours of training; figures that stand testament to both its strength as a training model par excellence and its international recognition.
