Barcelona hosts a new edition of the career guidance conference with more than 300 participants

The event reinforces its role as a leading forum for sharing knowledge and addressing current challenges in career guidance

Barcelona, 22 Jun 2026

More than 300 people took part in the second edition of the Barcelona Technical Conference on Career Guidance, held at the Disseny Hub Barcelona. The event has established itself as a space for reflection, debate, knowledge exchange, and networking for professionals in the sector.

The conference addressed some of the main challenges of the labour market, such as the triple green, digital, and demographic transition, the use of artificial intelligence in guidance processes, generational replacement in different professions, and support for people who have benefited from the extraordinary regularisation process for migrants.

The event featured 26 expert speakers and combined keynote presentations, round tables, workshops, and discussion sessions. The sessions focused on data-driven guidance, service personalisation, and the need to support individuals throughout their entire professional journey.

During the day, experiences related to the application of artificial intelligence in learning and job search processes were also presented. In the afternoon, activities explored quality employment linked to the extraordinary regularisation process and new guidance models aimed at anticipating labour market changes.

In 2025, more than 12.000 people used Barcelona Activa guidance services. The conference is part of the Barcelona Agreement for Quality Employment 2021–2030 (ABOQ), which aims to promote more equitable employment and facilitate citizens’ access to the labour market.
