Barcelona Activa opens the tender for training for the next five years

The call will allocate 5.6 million Euros to hire companies and people who will provide courses and activities in 33 different specialties until 2027

Barcelona, 13 Jan 2022

The local economic development agency of Barcelona City Council has just opened a new call for tenders for training until 2027. This project allocates 5.6 million Euros for 33 different specialties in sectors such as professional guidance, innovation, digitalisation, technology, communication and entrepreneurship.

These training actions are short length, highly specialised and incorporate social efficiency goals, including equality plans and reconciliation measures. The stable offer represents more than 80% of the training of the municipal agency. The rest are specific programmes such as Work in the Neighbourhoods, Cross-cutting and Singular Projects, and the Offer Training Programme in Priority Areas (FOAP), among others.

This tender is aimed at companies, self-employed people and Temporary Joint Ventures (UTE) who want to become training managers of Barcelona Activa. The contracts will be extended for five years and the proposals that best suit the demands of the current labour market will be chosen.

As of today, around 24,000 activities have been carried out on IT skills acquisition, support for entrepreneurship and enterprises and socio-economic innovation, with nearly 98,000 people participating.
