Barcelona Activa reactivates the CONNECTIO platform with a new wave of challenges, consolidating it as the key tool for promoting open innovation and energizing the innovative business community. The service is geared toward the local ecosystem, especially startups and SMEs with unique solutions that want to collaborate with large companies. 

In this edition, five leading companies pose strategic challenges aimed at the city's innovative community: 

• Suara Cooperativa is looking for technological solutions to promote active aging and delay dependency in people aged 65 to 75.

• Resol proposes replacing plastic in products and packaging with industrially viable bio-based materials. 

• Aigües de Barcelona is looking for passive solutions to prevent and detect heatstroke in outdoor work.

• Naturgy wants to offer energy efficiency recommendations to its customers in the hospitality sector based on data and artificial intelligence.

  Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona is looking for tools to improve multilingual communication at its Montjuic Cable Car point of sale and ensure a smooth experience. 

The challenges will be open until December 4 and will be presented in detail at the information session on November 19, where the platform's operation will be explained, questions will be answered, and guidelines for preparing applications will be provided. 

With this new edition, the platform has now published 63 challenges in areas such as sustainability, the digital economy, healthcare, mobility, health, and the blue economy.
