On May 13th, a new edition of JOBarcelona, ​​the leading conference on career guidance for people with university or higher education, will take place, and Barcelona Activa will be present. The event, free of charge and open to everyone, will be held at the Palau Blaugrana and will offer thousands of young people the opportunity to connect with companies, institutions and training centres. The event aims to respond to their needs for knowledge of resources for finding work and trends in economic sectors and the labour market.

For the twelfth edition in a row, Barcelona Activa will have its own stand at the fair. The municipal agency will offer advice on employment and entrepreneurship, support for preparing for job interviews with virtual reality glasses, and an information and initial guidance point to make known all the resources, programmes and services available to young talent. There will also be a space to carry out the digital skills test, to access the job offers managed by Barcelona Activa and a photo call.

In addition, throughout the day, the stand will host various activities to help attendees prepare for their professional future:

In addition, Barcelona Activa is organising a Talent Marketplace, where companies Capgemini, Henkel and Innate Business will present the professional profiles they are looking for. Pre-selected people will be able to participate in onsite job interviews during the event registrations are open until 9th May.

Finally, at 4:30 p.m. the session Entrepreneurship: a future option? will be held, focused on work autonomy through self-employment. Gisela Cruz, founder of the digital workshop, Tartas BastanteMajas will speak, and Arnau Masó, promoter of the scientific consultant Back2lab.
