Barcelona Activa boosts training and labour market integration for the youths of Barcelona and resources to access the world of work. For years, the agency has been working with programmes such as Singular Projects and Trades Workshop, two training initiatives for young people focused on different trades and professions.

In the case of the Singular Projects, these include two different initiatives: Success Guarantee BCN and Opportunities in the Municipal Markets and local Commerce. Both programmes promote job training and quality employment for young people aged between 18 and 29 in sectors with the highest demand, through advice and mentoring. In addition, Opportunities in Municipal Markets and local Commerce trains young people in professions in high demand such as those in the food and trade sectors.

Regarding the Trades Workshop, it is aimed at young people under the age of 30 and lasts 12 months. The training programme is promoted with the aim of improving professional preparation and enriching the experience of young people and offers the following itineraries:

• Barcelona for Nature, for training in the field of the environment and creation, with different training specialties: environmental monitor, forestry work and floral art decorator.

• Shows and Creative Industries, to train young people in the performing arts, show and design sectors. Allows you to specialize as a production and set manager, audiovisual production, lighting technician or sound technician.
