The benchmark space for job guidance and employment promotion in Barcelona, Porta22, is celebrating its twentieth anniversary since it was launched. The facility has 2,000 square metres aimed at offering services and resources for employment and careers. In operation since 2003, it has become the city's benchmark centre for job search support and job guidance.  

The facility reaches 20 years focused on turning the professional goals of the users into their own. From the beginning, Barcelona Activa has opted for an innovative model of attention focused on personalised advice and short-term training. Programmes such as ProVP, Activa’t per l’Ocupació and Mentoring+ and initiatives such as marketplaces with companies. A trajectory that has led it to receive international recognition and become a pioneering initiative.

Nowadays, Porta22's strategy focuses on two pillars: innovation and the quality of all the services and projects it offers. Barcelona Activa works there by seeking excellence in training, skills acquisition and attention, but also through the use of data to achieve more analytical decision-making. The points we have just mentioned represent some differentials for the development and ongoing improvement of the facility. 

In the coming years, work is being done to offer a Comprehensive Employment Service for the city of Barcelona. A service that will be oriented towards the individual, giving specific answers to individual needs, to data, to identify who and what needs to be offered, and also to the ecosystem, to involve city stakeholders in labour market integration. To achieve this, new initiatives are being launched such as the user's single file or the hybrid service portfolio.
