In the current pandemic, finding a job has become challenging. With the programmes ‘Joves Jo+’, Barcelona Activa offers training, employment guidance and assistance in job hunting for all of Barcelona’s youth.

On one hand, ‘Joves Jo+’ caters for young people who have not done any specific training, who cannot decide whether to continue studying or start working, or need a plan of action to pursue a career. It offers training and self-knowledge activities with respect to defining professional objectives according to the needs and goals of every young person. From this, an employment plan is designed, which includes personalised tutorials for the entire process to encourage labour integration or the return to education.

Young people will be able to train in different professions, such as hospitality and catering, installations and construction, beauty, commerce, and mechanics. The programme also provides help in finding internships.

On the other hand, ‘Joves Jo+’ also focuses on young people with experience who want to specialise in strategic sectors of the city. In this case, training which focuses on tomorrow’s professions are offered, like SAP logistics, Power BI and Excel, Digital Marketing, Electric Mobility and 3D Animation.

It offers training with a high level of specialisation, with short, highly valuable activities for the current needs of the city’s economic fabric. Young people will have access to a collaborative space for job hunting, with meetings and talks from businesses. They will also be able to participate in employment recruitment events.
