Barcelona+B has been launched, a project focused on mobilising and promoting collaboration between all the city’s actors to improve its social and environmental impact. The initiative is promoted by Barcelona City Council, Barcelona Activa, the Grup Ferrer, EADA and the Fundació B Lab Spain, with the aim of boosting a more prosperous, sustainable and inclusive city.

The new project adds Barcelona to Cities CAN B, a global movement that already has a presence in countries such as Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Scotland. The initiative promotes three lines of action to project Barcelona as a benchmark city in business transformation and contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The first aim is to promote business models that strengthen the entrepreneurial nature of the city's business fabric and its contribution to the SDGs. It also articulates collaborations between companies and institutions that tackle the main problems of the city, creating effective solutions that improve the city. Finally, the public is invited to take part in the search for solutions to contribute to the challenges of the Barcelona metropolitan area.

Barcelona+B cooperates with the changes needed by the economy and the improvement of society and the planet, values that are shared with the strategic plan, the Barcelona Green Deal, in particular through Axis 2 on sustainability.
