Barcelona City Council, with the support of Barcelona Municipal Services (BSM) and the Barcelona Sports Institute (IBE), has presented the new Anella Olímpica Incubator of the city. A space within the Barcelona Sports Hub to promote and support the creation of innovative companies in the field of sport, foster their growth and facilitate their positioning in the city’s business fabric.

The space will host a maximum of 14 start-ups related to the world of sport, innovation and technology. In addition, the companies and entrepreneurs who join will have access to support and acceleration programmes that will be carried out with strategic partners in the sector of sports and new technologies.

The incubator will also offer training open to the general public and organise outreach, relationship and networking activities and events. The works, which have a budget of 2.8 million Euros, will make it possible to have up to 1,100 m2 of unique and high-quality facilities.

The presentation of the incubator at the Olympic Stadium was attended by 5 of the emerging companies that have participated in the programme B-STEP of Barcelona Activa: B4ExperienceNzeroNeubootsAthos and The Run Republic.
