We’re inaugurating! Barcelona Activa has inaugurated a new facility of labour advice and assessment for youths. The Convent of Barcelona Activa will offer activities and services with the aim of promoting training, job search and entrepreneurial skills. The new space of 1000m2 is located in the centre of the city and has a capacity to accommodate around 300 people.

The Convent will offer many services and activities for advice and professional guidance. Job guidance programmes, advice and resources for finding work, spaces to prepare your video curriculum, access to job offers and job coaching services will be launched. The facility is also equipped with work areas with open access technology. In addition, the Convent of Barcelona Activa is open to all those local entities that want to give training sessions to young people free-of-charge.

The opening event featured different activities such as floral workshops, tattoos and portable chargers with 3D customisation, among others. In addition, a party finale was held with concerts and live dancing, with the performances by the Taller de Músics, DJ Koalekay, Bigwé, Kulumku and the entity Xamfrà as protagonists. 

Regarding the work of Barcelona Activa, during 2022 up to 1,200 young people have submitted their CVs to the job offers managed by the agency with vacancies from companies in the city. In fact, 500 young people have entered into an employment contract through this service.
