Boost to the labour market with a new edition of Crea Feina subsidies
This year a new line is included for the strengthening of Social and Impact Economy companies
Barcelona, 19 May 2025
Barcelona City Council, through Barcelona Activa, has launched the 2025 Call of the Crea Feina subsidy programme, to promote quality hiring in the city. With a total budget of two million euros, the programme foresees the creation of 235 jobs with permanent and full-time contracts for different entry profiles.
The main new feature is the launch of the Crea Feina Social and Impact Economy line, aimed at supporting organisations and initiatives that seek to generate a positive and measurable social and environmental impact. Specifically, this new line aims to promote the growth and consolidation of these organisations through the creation of strategic and responsible jobs, grants that range between 12,000 and 15,000 euros and are aimed at companies in Barcelona and the Metropolitan Area that hire people registered in the city.
The new line joins two already existing ones: Crea Feina Inclusiva, aimed at young people, long-term unemployed or in a vulnerable situation, with grants of 6,000 to 8,000 euros per contract, and Crea Feina Investiga, which promotes the incorporation of research staff with a doctorate into the productive fabric, with 12,000 to 15,000 euros per contract. In all cases, the hiring of women is especially incentivised with higher amounts than the subsidy for companies.
The programme forms part of the municipal strategy Barcelona Impulsa, which foresees the creation of up to 180,000 quality jobs by 2035 and is committed to a more diversified, inclusive and resilient economy. These grants can become key to generating employment and opening up opportunities for groups with difficulties accessing work, as well as supporting strategic sectors
Interested companies will be able to submit their applications from 3rd June and contracts must be formalised before September 19, 2025.
