In September, the course will start again and new training courses from the Sectorial Reskilling and 'Forma't i fes ho oficial' – SOC (Employment Service of Catalonia) programmes will also be launched. Both initiatives offer specialised itineraries in different professions to encourage professional improvement and increase the opportunities to find work for the participants.

The Sectorial Reskilling programme offers short-term and free of charge professional training, specific to key economic sectors in Barcelona. The courses are taught in training centres or by leading people in the different specialties such as food and beverages, life and health sciences, commerce, blue economy, sports economy, visitor and restaurant economy, green and circular economy, industry 4.0 and logistics.  

The training in the programme helps you develop your professional potential and improve your job opportunities with knowledge and skills. People who are unemployed have priority in registration and the courses are updated every month.

Regarding the programme 'Forma't i fes-ho oficial' – SOC, this is an initiative to improve the employability of the participants and the preparation to access occupations with a future in the world of work. The people who take the training will obtain a certificate of professionalism, a recognised official qualification that allows them to improve their professional qualification and learn a new trade in the areas of business, sports, food, image and well-being, smart advanced industry, creative industries and art, environment and sustainability, and health and biosciences.

The training with a certificate is the result of an agreement between Barcelona Activa and the Consorci d'Educació de Barcelona with the SOC. Beyond the classroom sessions, the itineraries also offer contacts with companies and networking spaces with the sector, elements that give you a competitive advantage in the labour market. 

In the case of both programmes, it must also be taken into account that, due to the specialisation of the training, selection processes are carried out with the people enrolled. Therefore, it is necessary to register in advance weeks before the courses so that they can refer you to the itinerary that best suits your profile.
