ACTIC, the Generalitat de Catalunya’s official digital competence certification, has updated its content to reflect current uses of technology. The new model applies to applications submitted on or after 15 September 2026 and focuses on the ability to use digital tools in real-life situations, both personal and professional.

The content aligns with the European Digital Competence Framework, DigComp, and is organised into five areas shared across all levels: information search, management and analysis; communication and collaboration; content creation, programming and digital fabrication; digital safety, well-being and citizenship; and autonomy and problem-solving.

To support preparation, Barcelona Activa’s Cibernàrium offers activities that explain how the certification works and help participants strengthen the competencies assessed in the test.
The free activity “Discover the ACTIC certificate” explains the available levels, the certification process and the training resources available to help participants prepare. It provides an introduction for people who are not yet familiar with the certificate.

For level 1, the training offer includes learning pathways linked to each of the five competence areas. The courses combine theoretical content with practical activities and are intended both for people seeking certification and for those looking to improve their digital skills.

People who already have a foundation of digital knowledge can take part in “ACTIC level 2: Review your ICT competencies”. This activity allows participants to review key concepts, clarify doubts and identify areas they need to strengthen before taking the test.

If you plan to take the test or want to update your knowledge, explore Cibernàrium’s training offer and prepare to pass the updated ACTIC test.
