Barcelona, 16 Oct 2026
As part of Barcelona’s designation as the 2026 European Capital of Local Retail, Barcelona City Council has published the 2026 Catalogue of Services and Programmes for Retail, Restaurants and Food Businesses. The catalogue brings together key municipal resources in a single document to help businesses across the city become more competitive and access the services best suited to their needs.
It includes specialist programmes, business advice, in-person and online training, grants and subsidies, as well as awards and other initiatives supporting the sector. The resources cover areas such as digitalisation, access to finance, talent management, sustainability and business succession.
Among the initiatives featured is Comerç a punt, which offers up to 12 hours of free, personalised advice to help businesses improve their operations. The catalogue also covers services provided by the Business Support Office (OAE), which offers information, guidance and tailored support to help businesses develop and grow. Other resources include training for the retail and restaurant sectors, recruitment support programmes and initiatives to boost commercial activity in local neighbourhoods.
