Barcelona Activa calls for requests to receive donated computer equipment. The initiative is intended to assist social or non-profit organisations seeking to obtain computer equipment in a serviceable condition.

The deadline for requests is Thursday the 9th of July at 14 h. Submissions can be sent to juridic@barcelonaactiva.cat. Consult the small print and submission conditions here.

At certain times, Barcelona Activa may have surplus computer hardware. In compliance with the principles of the circular economy and turning waste into resources, this material is made available to the entities that need it most at no extra charge other than the cost of delivering the respective equipment.

Companies in the social and solidarity economy sector may put in a request to receive the material: Only social and non-profit entities carrying out the majority of their work in the city of Barcelona are eligible to apply for the donation.

All interested companies must submit a brief project outlining the amount of material they wish to apply for, the purposes for which it would be used, and any other information they consider relevant to the application.

On this occasion, the material comprises 136 monitors, 15 Wi-Fi access points and one network switch.
