BizBarcelona and Saló de l'Ocupació 2020, Barcelona’s first post-lockdown face-to-face events, have succeeded in boosting Barcelona’s business fabric and economic activity and introduced new opportunities in key sectors. 

With over 250 scheduled activities and more than 100 conferences, both shows reaffirmed Barcelona City Council’s commitment to reactivating the city's economy and business sector as well as strengthening its entrepreneurial, commercial, and associative fabric to ensure the recovery and stability of jobs for local people.

The merger of the two events was key to promoting citizens’ skills and connecting them with potential job opportunities, especially in the new Talent Arena, which served as a meeting point for networking between the entrepreneurial ecosystem and local talent. 

With all the necessary safety and prevention measures in place, more than 7,100 people were able to visit the show in person, and more than 4,500 attended the virtual sessions. 

In addition to conferences, workshops, advice, networking spaces and career guidance, the Social Entrepreneurship Awards were also presented, recognising several of the initiatives tackling the covid-19 crisis. But above all, the shows proved that Barcelona Never Stops, and always backs talent.
