Barcelona acknowledges the people participating in the Mentoring Programme

The agency has celebrated the tenth anniversary of the business mentoring programme with an event to acknowledge the people who have taken part

Barcelona, 26 Jan 2023

The Barcelona Mentoring Programme has reached its tenth anniversary and Barcelona Activa wanted to celebrate it. An event has been organised by the agency to acknowledge and show its gratitude to the mentors who have taken part in the programme. The meeting was held at the Cibernàrium 22@ Auditorium and was used to thank the people who participated in some of the nine editions of the initiative.

The programme provides training, advice and strategic support to companies given by leading managers and executives in a sector with a recognised trajectory. It also aims to boost companies in their growth and consolidation through mentors who collaborate voluntarily. In this way, the connection between people is promoted, talent is channelled and the city's ecosystem is able to grow.

During the event, Barcelona Activa also took stock of the nine editions of the programme that have already been promoted. Since the first call in 2013, the Mentoring Programme has had more than a hundred mentors and up to 222 participating companies. In addition, almost 1,200 meetings have been held and the businesses that have received advice have increased their turnover by an average of 22%.

The meeting culminated with a roundtable with people who collaborate as mentors of the programme, who have shared the experience of being part of the programme. Business references such as Cinta Lacasa from Cinta Lacasa & Co, Helena Torras from Hans(wo)mengroup, Javier Cottet from Cottet 1902 and José María Vilas from Saicahan took part in a debate at the event.
