More attention to companies in the city and more service demands. Under this premise, Barcelona Activa, in collaboration with the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, attended more than 32,000 enterprises and entrepreneurs between 2018 and 2021. In addition, the requests attended respond to nearly 60,000 service requests. 

The data shows an increase in demand through the Business Support Office (OAE), with a growth of 43%. During 2021, entrepreneurs (48%), business types as S.A – public limited company and S.L – limited companies (27%) and self-employed people and SCP (20%) became the main profiles attended. 

The support service for financing for projects and companies has also increased, which has raised more than 200 million Euros over the last four years. In addition, the Business Advisory Service also exceeded 2,300 accompanied companies, 1,400 more than during the previous four years. In this case, commerce has become the main sector that uses it, accounting for about 30% of the attention. 

From the Business Support Office, the new Oficina 22@ is up and running, a one-stop shop for information, business and urban planning procedures for any activity. The initiative, launched in December 2020, has responded to 329 requests during its first year of operation.
