18th May is the Global Accessibility Awareness Day and Barcelona Activa celebrates it by organising a master class online on the same day. The activity will serve to learn how to create inclusive products for all people and to ensure correct usability.

In the session you will also be trained to assess accessibility and correct usability and also what standards need to be met in an equitable and inclusive way. For example, it will discuss what colours to use with the right contrast, not just using colour to give feedback to users, but also using appropriate visual hierarchies or designating large tactile areas.

Therefore, the day will focus on working on the user experience, which contemplates that the design must take into account the use that the consumers or customers will give it. To evaluate these factors, Barcelona Activa has set up the UXLab, the service to discover how a user perceives and interacts with your product or project.

UXLab, located in the Glòries Entrepreneurship Centre, offers advice and support to start-ups in the definition, creation and validation of products and services. Access works through a maturity survey and, from there, the UX expert staff draws up a tailor-made itinerary where multiple aspects will be worked on together. The company will also be able to receive feedback from users through quantitative and qualitative techniques and thanks to the technological tools of the UXLab space.
