Barcelona Activa gets behind Women’s Entrepreneurship Day

Testimonies of female entrepreneurs have been released throughout the day on all online platforms, as well as a virtual networking session

Barcelona, 19 Nov 2020

Barcelona Activa has celebrated Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, 19th of November, with different activities on social media. In order to enhance the importance of this day, all online platforms have been filled with messages to put the spotlight on entrepreneurial, brave and inspirational women who, at some point of their career, have been assisted by Barcelona Activa.

With the Lidera programme, Barcelona Activa contributes to the growth of female talent through training, professional advice and networking spaces. For this reason, the experiences and personal accounts of three female entrepreneurs have been shared, who have all participated in the programme and successfully boosted their professional careers. Their testimonies have been shared on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter as audio clips. They are Marta León, Aizea Juarros and Dolors Arroyo.

At the same time, a networking session about digital transformation has taken place, featuring the participation of women who have participated in the Lidera programme, along with the sharing of resources and experiences from various businesses which have reinvented themselves despite the pandemic.

Lastly, a new FAQs Activa Live session has been transmitted through Instagram, this time regarding female entrepreneurship and leadership with journalist, entrepreneur and creator of the ‘Top 100 female leaders in Spain’ ranking - Mercedes Wullich. It was an inspiring conversation in which Wullich mentioned female role models, encouraging other women to bring forward their business proposals.
