We are activating employment for young people

From Barcelona Activa we have started the Singular Programmes: Professional opportunities in municipal markets and local shops, hand in hand with Mercabarna and the Fundació Intermedia

Barcelona Activa, together with MercaBarna and the Fundació Intermedia, is reactivating employment for young people with one of the Singular programmes called Professional opportunities in the municipal markets and local shops. The initiative offers you the chance to train and work as a shop assistant specialising in food products in the city's markets and in local shops.

To access the programme, you must meet several requirements such as being between 18 and 29 years old, with studies such as ESO or lower, Baccalaureate or CFGM (Middle level training cycles). You must also reside in the city of Barcelona, be registered with the Employment Service of Catalonia and register with the national Youth Guarantee system.

The programme offers you:

  • training to obtain the Certificate of Professionalism of Commerce Assistant in: Butcher Shop Assistant, Charcuterie Assistant or Commerce Assistant of Organic and Proximity Products. 

  • the possibility of employment contract for 6 months on passing the training.

  • tutoring and coaching throughout the participation in the programme.
