Barcelona City Council, together with Barcelona Activa, is organising an event to relaunch the city’s economy on 30th, 31st March and 1st April. During these three days, proposals will be analysed to promote the recovery with the help of experts and stakeholders from all social and economic sectors.

The event will include the participation of prominent voices from the sectors of mobility, technology, science and health, industry 4.0, local commerce and the green economy, among others. Experiences from other cities will also be shared and a manifesto will be drawn up with 10 key actions for reactivating the city, which will be a guide for the economic future of Barcelona over the coming years. 

The REACT Conference aims to give voice to citizen initiatives and make visible the economic promotion policies boosted by the city, in order to position Barcelona as an international benchmark in innovation. Barcelona Activa will form part in the events with participation in activities such as: Leading the future of work; Boosting the local economy; Closing the gender gap; and Palau d’Esports, Barcelona’s icon of sport: the new paradigm of sport.

The goals of the event are linked to the policies promoted by Barcelona Activa. The agency is committed to the economic reactivation of the city with the actions included in Barcelona never stops a practical guide of services that includes 55 measures to support the business and entrepreneurial fabric. Recovery is also fostered through the Easy Barcelona plan, focused on improving the relation between the economic stakeholders and the local administration.
