Barcelona Activa makes a commitment towards business innovation

We are launching a new benchmark website to promote the updating and transformation of SMEs in the city

Barcelona, 21 Apr 2022

Economic innovation has become a priority for Barcelona Activa and Barcelona City Council. According to various studies, the city is already the fourth most innovative city in Europe and the sixth with the most innovative activity and the presence of start-ups. Furthermore, it has become the fourth most attractive capital in the world for foreign investment in R&D.

In order to boost the growth of the business fabric and the innovative culture in Barcelona, the agency is launching a website of business innovation. The new website provides companies with resources such as training programmes and services to innovate, inspire, train and keep up to date. At Barcelona Activa we work with the aim of promoting business innovation as a source of economic competitiveness and the generation of quality employment.

A city commitment to help companies in the city to have more resources to innovate and to be able to have more impact to position themselves in the market. Under these goals, the new website offers digital training through programmes and services such as the Cycle Innodiàlegs. A series of encounters where business innovation experts give regular master classes to help you innovate and find the tools to make it possible.

On the website you can also find programmes for companies and entrepreneurial projects focused on various sectors:

  • Prototyping and innovation Services: support, guidance and accompanying services to deal with prototyping processes in a strategic and agile way.

  • UXLab: service of conceptualisation and improvement of the usability of products and services, whether physical or digital.

  • Barcelona DeepTech Node: pre-acceleration service that accompanies high-tech entrepreneurial projects.

  • New Generation Retail Lab: laboratory for boosting the digitalisation and competitiveness of local retail.

  • EIT Urban Mobility: European project to promote the transformation of urban mobility towards sustainability.

  • InnoSeus Study: qualitative identification of innovation headquarters in the city.

  • Tech4Climate: acceleration programme for start-ups in the field of sustainability.

If you want to innovate your business, check out the new website of business innovation and find out about all the resources you can find at your disposal.
