The new calls for Barcelona Activa’s Pre-Acceleration and Pre-Incubation programmes are already open, seeking new entrepreneurial projects to boost and assist.

Pre-Incubation is the programme which supports the implementation of digital start ups. In the first phase, 15 projects will be selected to participate in a bootcamp which consists of five days of training, helping to define and validate business models as well as improving participants’ entrepreneurial skills. This year it will take place online from the 22nd to the 26th of March.

On the last day of the bootcamp, 10 projects will be selected to participate in the second phase, Pre-Incubation, which will take place from the 6th of April. This consists of a free coworking space in the MediaTIC Incubator for nine months, where participants will be able to develop their projects, receive tutoring and connect with the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Pre-Acceleration is the support programme for entrepreneurial projects with a high technological impact which are in their preliminary phases . The new edition will take place online, and will offer personalised advice, a free coworking space in the MediaTIC Incubator for four months, workshops with experts, access to possible investment and connections with the entrepreneurship community.

The programme is aimed at technological start-ups which preferably have patents or know-how as a primary asset, a functional prototype and a team consisting of people with technical and scientific backgrounds.
