On the 18th of February, the 2nd edition of the Digital Competencies Congress will take place, organised by Barcelona Activa, the Ministry for Digital Policy and Public Administration, the Open University of Catalonia and the Blanquerna University. Enrollment for the Congress is already open.

The aim of the event which will take place via streaming - reinforcing the slogan ‘Digital citizenship in times of pandemic’ - is to promote the active participation of citizens in the digital society, with discussions about the competencies and skills needed in the current pandemic context and about the power of technology in activities and social interaction.

The Congress will include the participation of experts in the digital world, who will share their knowledge and opinions about the role of technology in a society which coexists with a health crisis. Other focal points will include strategies and future actions which will be developed in order to reactivate the economic and social ecosystems. This will all take place in one single event from 9am to 6pm.

The contents will be categorised into three blocks: Reference frameworks for digital competencies, the digital gap and inequalities, and well-being and digital security. There will also be practical workshops with limited slots where users will be able to participate.
