Barcelona, 27 Oct 2020

The fourth call for subsidies to boost socio-economic activity in Barcelona has closed. The programme ‘Impulsem el que fas’, promoted by the Barcelona City Council through Barcelona Activa, offers subsidies of up to 80% with a maximum of 40,000 euros, for projects which boost economic activity in Barcelona’s neighbourhoods.

In this edition, 425 projects were submitted, of which 353 were admitted and 127 approved. The accepted projects will share the sum of the call – a total of €2,710,000.

The initiatives presented are divided into seven different modalities:

  • Local business

  • Socio-economic innovation and SSE in strategic sectors

  • Promotion of local high-skilled jobs

  • Social digital innovation at a local level

  • Sustainable and responsible tourism

  • Sustainable agro-foods model and responsible consumption

  • Reactivation of local economic activity in the Neighbourhood Plan neighbourhoods.

With ‘Impulsem el que fas’ Barcelona Activa reaffirms its mission of activating local entrepreneurship, supporting innovative and sustainable projects which promote employment, digitalisation and the SSE.
