In response to the covid-19 health crisis, Barcelona City Council has published a guide called ‘Barcelona Never Stops. A Practical Guide to Services’, which sets out the 55 subsidies and initiatives put in place to support the business, entrepreneurial and economic fabric of Barcelona.

The document aims to be an easily understandable all-in-one guide to the range of services available to help citizens train, get advice, start a new business, apply for financial support, grants, funding, or obtain certifications. It also contains information on the latest regulations in force as a result of the pandemic.

More than 24,000 printed copies will be distributed to markets and retail outlets in all districts of the city, and it can also be downloaded online.

In the words of Deputy Mayor, Jaume Collboni, the guide focuses on "accelerating the reactivation of Barcelona by putting people first". The main goal is to minimise the effects of the crisis, protect existing jobs and create new ones. "We will continue to promote our own economic model based on the parameters of competitiveness, sustainability and equity, and consolidate our position as a global city with a dynamic economy," he explained.

The guide is part of Barcelona City Council’s 'Barcelona Never Stops' campaign which is being promoted by Barcelona Activa. The campaign seeks to regenerate the economic and social fabric of the city and accelerate its economic recovery with a broad vision that integrates new models of socioeconomic innovation.
