Barcelona Activa promotes new activities to strengthen the Social and Impact Economy in the city
New activities, itineraries and advice for projects with social, environmental and community values
Barcelona, 07 Nov 2025
The service of social and impact economy of Barcelona Activa expands its training agenda with new activities aimed at entrepreneurs, entities and collective projects that aim to promote initiatives based on sustainability, cooperation and social transformation.
This training offer, available both onsite and online, is based on an active and collaborative methodology that connects learning with the practical experience of organisations. The service promotes economic and environmental sustainability, democratic governance and cooperation between projects, with the aim of supporting initiatives in their professionalisation and growth within the field of social impact.
The programme combines master classes, workshops and specialised sessions that offer applied knowledge, advice and useful resources to consolidate business models with values and strengthen the fabric of the social and impact economy.
Among the new features, the programme incorporates new specialised pathways that complement the usual training offer and respond to the current needs of the social and solidarity economy. Each itinerary includes several activities, among which it is worth highlighting:
-
Ethical marketing and sales pathway: It offers tools to promote communication and responsible marketing, reinforcing the economic sustainability and coherence of values of the projects. The session “Marketing with impact: define, validate and communicate your proposal with meaning” (25/11) is one of the most notable examples.
-
Impact investment pathway: It introduces key concepts about financing and offers tools to measure and evaluate the social impact of companies. It includes activities such as “Dossier with purpose: explain your impact and convince investors!” (18/11 and 3/12), focused on effective communication with impact investors.
-
Governance pathway: Focused on shared leadership and collective decision-making, it seeks to promote more autonomous and participative organisations. The proposal “Governance with purpose: shared leadership to transform organisations” (1/12 and 9/12) will be a key piece.
-
Specialised employment pathway: Explore the job opportunities offered by the social and solidarity economy, as well as the organisational models of companies with a purpose. The session “Projects that transform: how SSE companies are organised” (12/11) will allow to get to know real experiences from the sector.
Apart from its training offer, Barcelona Activa's social and impact economy programme also offers specialised advice and incubation spaces such as InnoBA and Bloc4BCN. These facilities develop consolidated programmes such as Construïm en femení (Let’s construct in feminine) and Dies InnoBA (InnoBA days), which promote collective leadership, sustainability and the creation of projects with a positive impact.
