Barcelona City Council has invested 17 million Euros in local projects

The "Impulsem el que fas" (We boost what you do) programme has financed 807 innovative and local economic initiatives in the six calls held since 2017

Barcelona, 17 Jan 2023

The Barcelona City Council held the "Impulsem el que fas Jornada" (We boost what you do Day), an event to take stock of the six editions of the programme that have been held since it was launched in 2017. "Impulsem el que fas" is a socio-economic boosting programme that finances innovative and local projects to respond to the needs of the city's neighbourhoods and districts.

The council has organised a meeting with entities, companies and self-employed people who have received grants. The Day served as a collective reflection among the 150 attendees. The event included a work session in which entities and companies shared experiences and established collaborations.  A presentation of the main indicators was also given of the balance of the six programme calls that have already been carried out.

According to the data collected, in total, around 3,300 projects have been presented, of which 807 have been subsidised. This data means that up to 540 entities have been financed and nearly 17 million Euros have been invested in the socio-economic fabric of the city. In addition, the initiatives have reached more than 20,000 people and 5,000 companies, and 50% of the subsidised projects have been intended for people at risk of exclusion.

The 7th call for "Impulsem el que fas" will soon be launched. If you need more information about the programme, you can find it at this link.
